Raffle Ticket for Angel House (999) Quilt

from $10.00
sold out

The King Street Community and its host of revolutionaries are located in the North End neighborhood of Detroit. The community has come together to provide a deeply integrated network of support and care; Co-owning communal garden space and homes on the block, sharing home preservation skills to maintain the overall health of the block, and generally supporting each other as neighbors in their individual and collective pursuits in art, music, carpentry, activism and more. The King Street Community is also the home of The Joy Project.

The Angel House at 999 King St. is a collectively owned home that the King Street Community is transforming into an artist residency and art studio. This will be one of a few community ran artist hubs in Detroit, and in solidarity, this quilt raffle (no.2) is for Angel House.

This twin-sized quilt (70”x90”) is made from 100% reused fabrics, machine, and hand quilted by me, and filled with 100% cotton. 80% of the proceeds will go directly to Angel House/The King Street Community, with 20% retained for labor. I will collect funds, and provide a receipt of the transfer to Angel House Publicly.

One entry per person. Sliding scale options are provided to provide equitable ticket options. The Raffle will go through February 15th, with a transparency statement being posted by February 21st.
